Dr. Surender Malhotra is a board-certified cardiologist with over three decades of experience in cardiovascular medicine. As the founder of Cardiac Care Specialists of Dublin, he has dedicated his career to providing expert, compassionate cardiac care to the communities of central Georgia.

Heart Cath

During the procedure, a thin, flexible tube called a catheter is gently guided through a blood vessel in the groin to the heart. Using special imaging and contrast dye, your provider can see detailed pictures of your heart and arteries.

Coronary Angioplasty

Coronary angioplasty is a minimally invasive procedure used to open narrowed or blocked heart arteries and restore healthy blood flow to the heart muscle. It is most often performed after a heart catheterization has identified a blockage that may be causing symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath, or fatigue. During angioplasty, your doctor uses specialized tools to gently widen the affected artery and improve circulation.
